National Honor Society of GPHS
Gregory-Portland High School's National Honor Society is a prestigious and honorary organization that helps to encourage growth in the areas of character, service and leadership. 
To be chosen for invitation into GPHS NHS, a sophomore must have maintained a cumulative 95 gpa, must have taken at least 4 pre ap or ap classes, must be actively involved with at least two school or community activities throughout their first two years of high school, and must have been enrolled at GPHS for at least the second semester of their sophomore year.  As a junior, students are expected to maintain a cumulative 95 gpa, must be actively involved with two school or community activities, must have taken at least 5 pre ap or ap classes throughout their three years of high school, and must have been enrolled by the 2nd 9 weeks period of their junior year.
In addition to these criterion, the students will also be evaluated by their teachers, coaches and sponsors based on character, leadership and service.
