¡Hola! O como decimos en mi tierra ¡Aja! (aha)

It is a pleasure to be part of the foreign language department at GP High School.  I am originally from Cosamaloapan, Veracruz, México.  I’ve had dual citizenship since birth since my mother is from Laredo, Texas.  I did all my education from elementary to high school in my hometown.  I am the second of five brothers.  We moved to Laredo in 1978 where I started college.  I am a military veteran – U.S. Air Force.  I have a BA in Spanish with a minor in Zoology from Weber State University, Ogden, Utah.  I am currently working on a master degree in teaching through Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas.  I own an equipment rental company in Laredo and I have been teaching Spanish and ESL part time at Texas A&M International University for the past 7 years.  I have a daughter Gabriela 18 years old . I have a daughter Gabriela 18 years old and this summer 2016 will start her college career at Virginia Tech where she is on a full ride scholarship to play volleyball for 4 years. She is a setter, and she is also a black belt in karate. I am a baseball player, I’ve been playing baseball since little league and continue to play to this day.  I currently play in two adult baseball leagues in Laredo and San Antonio.  In 2013 we won the Roy Hobbs World Series in Ft. Myers, Florida in the 53+ category, the San Antonio Texans.  Last year we finished 3rd.

I’m looking forward to begin teaching and sharing my native language and culture with your kids!
